Connecting Seward Businesses with Community

About the Seward Civic and Commerce Association

The Seward Civic and Commerce Association (SCCA) has been supporting local businesses since 1964. As a nonprofit rooted in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis, SCCA brings together small businesses, larger organizations, and home-based entrepreneurs who are all part of what makes this community vibrant, resilient, and connected.

At its core, SCCA exists to support the people behind Seward’s businesses. We create space for connection, collaboration, and shared problem-solving so businesses don’t have to navigate challenges alone.

What We Do

SCCA hosts monthly Board of Directors meetings that are open, collaborative spaces where local businesses can come together to:

  • Share updates and stay informed on neighborhood activity
  • Discuss challenges and opportunities affecting the business community
  • Advocate for business needs with local leaders and decision-makers
  • Build relationships with other business owners and organizations

Beyond meetings, SCCA works to actively strengthen the Seward business district through marketing initiatives, events, partnerships, and ongoing support.

Our Purpose

Our goal is simple: to support and elevate businesses and organizations in the Seward neighborhood.

That support shows up in real, tangible ways. Whether it’s helping businesses connect with customers, creating opportunities for visibility, or advocating for resources and policy support, SCCA is here to make sure Seward businesses are seen, supported, and set up to thrive.

Membership

SCCA membership is open to all businesses and organizations in the Seward neighborhood.
