“We joined SCCA to learn from and work with other successful businesses in the Seward neighborhood.”

Meet our New Board Members!

At our January member meeting, SCCA held board elections, and we now have a 10 member board for 2013! Board members serve three year terms, which means newly-elected (and reelected) members will serve through 2015. Meet the newest members:

Abdulcadir Haji, owner of An Nuur Restaurant – An Nuur Restaurant opened at the beginning of last year in Seward, and Haji is excited about getting involved with the business community.

Jennifer Anderberg, manager at Pizza Luce – Jennifer has been active in the community for years through volunteering with the Seward Winter Frolic and attendance at monthly SCCA meetings, and she is looking forward to getting more involved as a board member.

Jen Schoenzeit, owner at Zipps Liquors – Zipps Liquors has been a community-oriented business in Seward for years. Events like the Sweethearts and Spirits event on February 9th exemplify the positive impact that businesses can have on communities, and Jen’s board membership will allow her to continue her wonderful work in the neighborhood.

Emily Bell, manager at Caption Max – Owner Max Duckler is leaving the board, but Caption Max will continue their service to their neighborhood through Emily. Note: referring to Emily as “mini-Max” is now officially a faux pas.
