SCCA Fall Social Highlights

More than 30 Seward business owners, employees and community members enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at the 2015 SCCA Fall Social held on September 16th. Coastal Seafoods hosted the event in the courtyard behind their store, and served up delicious seafood sandwiches, salad and home-made chocolate chunk cookies!

New Member Profile: K’ul Chocolate

K’ul Chocolate (pronounced ‘cool’) is the newest endeavor of local entrepreneur and chef Peter Kelsey, former owner of the New French Bakery, and one of the newest businesses in Seward. After more than 20 years building the artisan bread bakery ‘from scratch’ into a business with 300 employees and $40 million in revenue, Kelsey sold the New French Bakery in 2013.

King’s Fair 2015 – Remember the ’60’s


The bi-annual King’s Fair is back again this year on Saturday, September 19 from Noon to 5 pm at Matthew’s Park. This year’s Fair promises to be jam packed with activities, food, music and fun for the whole family! Open Streets – Organizing the Community

Highlights of SCCA July Social

On July 15th SCCA hosted a social event at Café Racer Kitchen (2929 E 25th St) to welcome new SCCA members and new Seward businesses. Café Racer began as a food truck and recently expanded into a restaurant/café in Seward. They serve delicious Latin American fusion cuisine and have a lovely patio and sidewalk seating.
