Improving Your Digital Business Listing

We had a great turnout at the February Member Meeting which was co-hosted with the Longfellow Business Association. Paul Lampland, Google Certified Photographer from Grey Cloud Studio, gave a presentation covering the steps to take to correct or create a digital business listing. Paul explained that with the prevalence of smartphones and mobile GPS, customers increasingly depend on ‘digital maps’ to find businesses and restaurants. If these maps are inaccurate or your business is missing from them, new customers may never find your business.

For those businesses who already have an up-to-date business listing and are looking to improve it, we learned about the new Google  “See Inside” feature to showcase the inside of a building with 360 degree, interactive, panoramic images connected to a business Google Map location. We also got up to speed about ‘SEO’ – Search Engine Optimization, which is how a business or organization moves to the top of online search engine results. For all you bloggers out there – blog on! It turns out that blogging is a good way to improve your SEO.

Thanks to Touchstone Mental Health for hosting this meeting, and join us at Soberfish on March 18 for our next member meeting.
