SCCA Business Community Forum is Live!

The Seward Civic and Commerce Association has launched a new online tool for our business community.  The SCCA Business Community Forum provides a place for businesses to get together and have conversations.  Just click on the ‘forums’ link on the upper right corner of the SCCA website, and you can access the public section of the forums. The public forum topics currently include Employment, SCCA Events and SCCA FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions).

We also created private forums that are only accessible to SCCA member businesses. In the private forums, members will find a private, safe space to connect with each other, find mentors and share experience, plan and coordinate shared events or parties and festivals.  Members can use the forum to stay in the loop about neighborhood news on everything from street cleaning schedules to crime and safety reports or updates from the city council.  Member business can also use the forum to buy, sell, trade and share equipment locally among community members, or as a place to look for recommendations and advice from your peers.

SCCA Forum designer Peter Fleck, of PF Hyper Web Development, introduced the Forum at the November member meeting. Using the feedback from members in attendance, Peter has since made some changes and enhancements designed to improve the overall experience. Peter will also be our forum moderator for the next several months, and members are encouraged to contact him at pfhyper@gmail.com with any questions or suggestions.
