Minneapolis-based teahouse and restaurant Verdant has launched a new bar menu featuring craft cocktails and non-alcoholic mixed drinks that highlight seasonal ingredients and flavors, plus craft beer and wine. In August, Verdant expanded its food program to include a made-from-scratch dinner menu of prix fixe pairings, large plates and à la carte items.
Curated by Verdant Tea co-owner David Duckler ad Loon Liquor’s Simeon Rossi, the new menu includes cocktails made with craft spirits from Loon Liquors, St. George Spirits and Får North Spirits infused with Verdant’s signature chai and loose-leaf Chinese tea, aromatic woods & unusual botanicals, alongside non-alcoholic options such as Tree Fort Soda and creative “mocktails” made with Prohibition Kombucha. Additional menu items include an array of wines (sparkling, red, white and rosé), sake and craft beers from Great Lakes Brewing Co., Two Brothers Brewing Co., and Brewery Ommegang.
The tasting room’s cocktail menu is available Tuesday through Sunday, from 4 p.m. until close, while its wine and beer menu is available all day.
Verdant, on Franklin Avenue in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis, is a teahouse, restaurant and bar offering single-source Chinese loose leaf tea, house-brewed chai, micro-brewed kombucha, as well as a full menu of food and cocktails, baked goods, sweets and specialty ice cream. Verdant is open Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight.
