Precision Grind Changes Hands

A Letter to the Community from the Fritzkes:

Please welcome the new owners of Precision Grind Coffee House, Karl Juhnke and Joni Giese, to the neighborhood!

As many of you know, we purchased 2nd Moon in May 2012, rebranded the shop based on the historical use of the building and worked to streamline and improve business systems. It is with a heavy heart that Jay and I have decided to sell Precision Grind Coffee House.  Our role as owners officially ended on December 1st, with a short transition/training period that concluded today.

We have known for many months that the time and demands of the shop were stretching us, but we’re no quitters, and we kept on, thinking with a little more hard work, our life would start to balance out.  Mostly, the last 19 months have taken a toll on our family life, and that’s when we decided, something had to give.

Know that this time has been one of the most challenging and enlightening, yet genuinely beautiful experiences in our lives.

As easy as it will be to not make the long drive into the shop, dragging carts full of supplies, or dealing with the usual small business hiccups, it is the authentic, grounded, heart-felt people that we have come to know and let into our hearts that will be the biggest heartbreak for us.

The support, care and protection everyone given us has never gone unnoticed.

Please stop by and meet Karl & Joni. They are very excited to get more involved in the workings of the neighborhood.

The soul of every place is its people.
So glad our paths have crossed.

Jay and Laura
