On Friday, November 30th, the 2012 Seward Winter Frolic will begin with a Kick-Off Party at the Playwright’s Center on Franklin. The festivities will continue throughout the weekend, ending with an art crawl from 12-5pm on Sunday. The event offers something for everyone, and will feature a number of exciting opportunities throughout the weekend to check out local artists and businesses.
Among the artists featured at the event will be Jenny Larson, whose work will be featured at Caption Max from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sunday. Jenny’s interest in the people and places from her neighborhood has driven her to photograph many of Seward’s businesses over the last two years, and her experiences as a small business owner herself has taught her the importance of small businesses in local communities. Jenny’s communications design business – which you can check out here – allows her to make use of her artistic talents, which are also visible in the pictures below!
A number of other SCCA businesses will also be hosting events, activities, and artists at their venues. Check out the list of Saturday events below!
